My Experience and Passion

My Experience
My interest in mental health began almost ten years ago, when I was 18 and living in a homeless hostel, facing significant difficulties of my own.
After rebuilding my life, I worked in addiction treatment, supporting groups and delivering one-to-one keywork sessions, before becoming a coordinator at a Mind crisis centre.
I later gained my Level 4 counselling and psychotherapy qualifications and began a Psychology degree, which I am now in the final year of, with plans for postgraduate study and research next year. My practice brings together a rare blend of professional training, academic and scientific/ research skills, over half a decade of frontline experience, and lived understanding.
My Specific Passion
I’m fascinated by how new ideas, personal philosophies, and perspectives can help people move beyond even the most difficult circumstances, while practical skills can address specific fears and everyday challenges. My passion lies in combining sincere care and compassion with clear, thoughtful strategies to help people heal and rebuild their lives.
